丝路链接

南通，作为‘中国近代第一城’，是中国近代历史上公共教育事业发展的先行者。也正是因为这样，江海胸襟的兼容并包已经成为南通市的城市特色和文化底蕴。为了响应习近平总书记所提出的‘一带一路’倡议并进而推动国家与地区之间的文化交流，文化传播与文化贸易的发展，本次‘丝路链接’艺术邀请展将展出来自于两岸三地以及八个国家高等教育机构中杰出青年艺术家的艺术作品。通过本次展览，本次展览的筹备委员会希望向海内外观众展示来自于不同地区绚烂视觉文化的交流与合作。

Silk Road Connection

Nantong, known as ‘the first city in modern China’, created seven ‘firsts’ in China: the first normal school, the first public museum, the first textile school, the first school for embroidery, the first drama school, the first Chinese school for deaf-muted and the first weather (meteorological) station. International collaboration and cultural inclusion have become the hallmarks of the city. Responding president Xi Jinping’s ‘the Belt and Road Initiative’, this exhibition expects to contribute to the development of the mutual understanding within the countries and regions worldwide. In this regard, the curatorial team of the ‘Silk Road Connection” International Art Invitational Exhibition’ aims to show domestic and foreign visual arts professionals and visitors the communication and the cooperation between the stunning and various visual cultures of the regions and countries.
